‘Tuul’, or طول, is a Persian noun meaning ‘length’ or ‘duration’.
Tuul is the name I have given to a trilogy of durational works that expose my experiences as a British born Iranian girl who lost and found herself in dreams of transgression, songs and hospitality.
Having developed these three works consecutively over the three years of 2011, 2012 and 2013, I aim to perform the entire trilogy once a year for the rest of my life.
